Moose forward Steffen makes NCAA Commitment

The Minnesota Moose of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Luke Steffen has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Hamline University.
Steffen, 20, wrapped up his junior hockey career with a strong season for the Minnesota Moose, appearing in 35 games and posting 42 points (16 goals, 26 assists) for an average of 1.2 points per game. The Blaine, MN native was a reliable offensive presence, notching multi-point performances in 12 games, including three standout efforts where he recorded four points each. Even more impressive, two of those four-point games came in back-to-back outings, one of which took place on the big stage at the NA3HL Showcase, helping lead the Moose to a key cross-divisional win over the Badlands Sabres.
“Luke was the epitome of offensive consistency for the Minnesota Moose this season. He recorded points in 22 of his first 25 games and finished with an impressive 1.40 points per game over 30 appearances. His performance earned him a spot among the Top 25 scorers in the entire NA3HL, in the incredibly tightly contested NA3HL West Division,” stated Moose Head Coach Todd Sanden. “Luke's ability to score helped give us a chance to win every night. His consistency was only outmatched by his desire to score and create chances for his teammates. We wish Luke success as he continues his academic and hockey development at Hamline University.”
Steffen is one of nine players from the Moose to make a college commitment this season.
