Jr. Mountain Kings forward Sonia makes college commitment

The New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Zach Sonia has committed to play ACHA college hockey for Southern New Hampshire University.
Sonia, 21, recently concluded his junior hockey career after two seasons with the Jr. Mountain Kings NA3HL team. A hometown product, he has been a part of the Mountain Kings organization for years, having played AAA with the club before joining the junior squad in their inaugural season. Over the course of 96 junior games, the future SNHU Penman recorded 17 points, including 5 goals and 12 assists. One of his standout moments came early in the 2024–25 season during a tightly contested matchup against the Long Beach Sharks. Midway through the third period, Sonia broke the deadlock and secured the win for New Hampshire with a clutch game-winning goal.
He is one of two players from the Jr. Mountain Kings to make a college commitment this season.
