Sea Captains Captain Leivian makes NCAA Commitment

The Norwich Sea Captains of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that Captain Chase Leivian has committed to play NCAA DII hockey for Franklin Pierce University.
Leivian, 21, spent two seasons competing in the NA3HL with the East Division’s Sea Captains, serving as team captain during his final year of junior eligibility. Over 93 career games, the future Raven recorded 62 points (23 goals, 39 assists), producing identical 29-point totals in each regular season. During his time in Connecticut, he tallied 13 multi-point performances and finished as the team’s second-leading scorer in 2024-25. One standout showing came in mid-October during a 4-1 win over the Maine Nordiques, where he scored the game-winner and added an assist on the Sea Captains’ fourth goal.
When asked about the commitment, Head Coach Kevin Cunningham shared:
“I am extremely excited for Chase that he has earned this opportunity to continue his academic and hockey careers at Franklin Pierce. Chase is everything that a coach wants in a player; skilled, smart, tough, committed, a great teammate and outstanding leader. Those characteristics made him an excellent Sea Captain and he will certainly bring those attributes to the Ravens hockey program and the FPU campus community. I look forward to seeing Chase continue to thrive during his time in college and beyond.”
He is one of 10 players from the Sea Captains to make a college commitment this season.
