Woodsmen defenseman May-Robinson makes NCAA Commitment

The Wisconsin Woodsmen of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Tristen May-Robinson has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Hamline University. 

May-Robinson, 20, was a reliable two-year presence on the Woodsmen blue line, skating in 92 career games and totaling 75 points (22 goals, 53 assists). He showed significant growth from his first to second season, boosting his production from 28 points to 47, and ultimately finishing as the Woodsmen’s top-scoring defenseman during his age-out campaign.

The Andover, MN native was particularly effective on the power play in 2024-25, netting six goals on the man advantage. His consistent play earned league-wide recognition, as he was honored twice as NA3HL Defenseman of the Month (October and December) before being selected to the All-NA3HL Team as one of only two defensemen league-wide.

On his commitment, Woodsmen Head Coach Jon Vaillancourt shared:

“Tristen has proven over the last two seasons that he is a dynamic defenseman that can play in key situations. The growth that we have seen from him as a player and person exemplifies not only his commitment to the game but in his ability to be a leader on and off the ice. He has had an outstanding effect on the Tomah commitment and I know he will have many fans within our program and community cheering him on next season”. 

He is one of four players from the Woodsmen to make a college commitment this season.
