Woodsmen defenseman Murray makes college commitment

The Wisconsin Woodsmen of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Charles Murray has committed to play college hockey for the University of Colorado.  

Murray, 20, is set to return to his home state of Colorado to continue his hockey career with the Buffaloes after wrapping up his junior career in Wisconsin with the Woodsmen. The 6’0” defenseman appeared in 56 games for the Central Division squad, recording 28 points (7 goals, 21 assists).

Before the 2024 calendar year came to a close, Murray caught fire offensively, posting points in four straight games beginning at the NA3HL Showcase. That stretch was highlighted by a standout two-point performance in a 5-4 win over the Peoria Mustangs, where he buried a powerplay goal and added an assist to help lift the Woodsmen to victory.

He is one of four Woodsmen players to make a college commitment this season.
