One Week to Go: NA3HL Set to Launch 16th Season with New Division, Big Expectations

The wait is almost over, the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) officially begins its 16th season on September 5th, 2025!
Opening weekend features 14 teams hitting the ice, with the rest of the league set to follow in the coming weeks. This year marks a historic milestone as the NA3HL expands to six divisions, including the brand-new Southeast Division, headlined by the defending Fraser Cup Champions, the Louisiana Drillers.
After capturing their first-ever Fraser Cup last season, the Drillers enter 2025-26 with a target on their back and a hunger to prove they’re still the team to beat. They’ll bring their high-energy style and championship pedigree to the new division, setting the tone for an exciting year of competition across the league.
As always, the NA3HL remains committed to its mission as the premier development league at the Tier III level, providing a proven pathway to the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and college hockey opportunities at both the NCAA and ACHA levels. No other Tier III league moves more players to the NAHL than the NA3HL. Through strengthened partnerships and enhanced development initiatives, more NA3HL athletes than ever are earning chances to skate, develop, and secure college commitments at the next level.
"We’re thrilled to kick off the 16th season of the NA3HL," said Tyler Giwerowski, Director of the NA3HL. "This year brings exciting new opportunities with the addition of a new division and new teams, promising an incredible level of competition across the board. We’re equally excited to watch our players continue to grow, develop, and achieve their goals, earning college commitments and taking the next steps in their hockey careers."
The countdown is on. One week from today, a new season begins, and with it, new rivalries, new stars, and the same relentless drive to chase the Fraser Cup.
