Pelham 4 @ Bayou State 2 - The visiting Pelham Prowlers came out in full force yesterday afternoon when they outshot and outscored the host Bayou State Rougarou at Monroe Civic Center. In 60 minutes of hockey in the NA3, the Prowlers shot 69 times on netminder Jared Lang, while the Rougarou still had plenty of chances on Garret Ambrose with 36 but couldn't muster enough goals. For the first period, Dominic Cattellane opened the scoring for the Prowlers from a setup by Andrew Robles. After that, the scoring would subside for a moment until earlier in the second. The Prowlers went back to work four minutes into the second when Matthew Hunter connected the feeds by Marlon Derksen and Lorenzo Pekarek to make it two-nothing. But with five minutes to go in the middle frame, the Rougarou broke ice when Judah Temple capitalized off the power play from some help by Ethan Tierman to give the home club some breathing room. However, at the two-minute mark, Hunter would make that breathing room disappear, as he tucked one past Lang from initial help by Robles.  For the third, the Prowlers would bring back some insurance from Jacob Harrison's game-winning goal. Likewise, the home team had a little left in the tank to light the lamp again before closing out this game, as Temple notched another goal.  And so, the Prowlers took this game 4-2 over the Rougarou, but despite the score, the home team was awarded two stars of the game. The first one went to Lang, who stopped 65 shots in his blue paint; the second went to Temple, who of course scored twice. For the third star, however, Hunter was best for last with two goals. These two clubs will be back at it again Sunday for a rematch at Monroe Civic Center.

New Hampshire 3 @ Binghamton 4 - The Binghamton Buzz narrowly defeated the visiting New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings during last night's slate at LeCom Events Center. Previously, during Friday's matchup, the Buzz defeated the visitors 4-2, and the same winning story would be told again. For the first period, Yaromir Chicherin opened the scoring for the Buzz by himself in the first three minutes of play. Then during the three-minute mark, the visiting club would go on a tear with two back-to-back power play goals. The first PP opportunity was capitalized by Ilya Baldin, who was set up by Brady Ishu. Then two minutes after for the second opportunity, Chicherin would net his second of the night to make it three-nothing for the Buzz. However, the insurance lead died down to just two when Sedrick Swygert Jr. beat the buzzer by 12 seconds and snuck one by Dalton Elliott. In the middle frame, Jaylen Nurse would set up Theo Fritz to shoot and score on Risdon Baynard-Fernhall to render back the three-goal insurance lead. However, the team carried that lead for ten minutes before it would get lost when the Jr. Mountain Kings took over the momentum for the rest of the game. At 7:53, Talon Schackman decreased the deficit to two when the feed by Kyle Bouvier connected.  Seven minutes into the third, Swygert Jr. would saucer feed to Jacob Landry for him to bury one past Elliott and put New Hampshire within one to tie it. However, after that goal, neither team would be able to capitalise on the chances, with both Elliott and Jack Kawamura standing tall between the pipes. So after 60 minutes, the Buzz held off the Mountain Kings and defended their small lead of 4-3 to grab a consecutive win of this weekend's slate.
