Carolina 6 @ Atlanta 1 - The Carolina Rage once again took down the home team Atlanta Capitals yesterday afternoon with another blowout score. Yesterday, the club picked up six goals in a 6-1 score over the Capitals, with the team outshooting them 68-24. The day before this matchup on Saturday, the Rage told the same winning story, but with just slightly more goals of 13 and 88 shots on net. Here's how this final game of last weekend went down. In the first period, neither team would light up the lamp first. But the second was where things went down. Isaac Emmerich of the Rage opened the scoring in the first two minutes of play from some help by Connor Kelly. Then not even a minute after, the Capitals tied it at one a piece when Caleb Crouch set up Gage Kraus for him to bury one past Derek Strong. However, after that whole tying sequence, the Rage would take it from there and shutdown the Capitals from scoring again. Minutes later into the second, Kelly would net himself a goal and break the tie. And 12 seconds before the buzzer sounded, Carolina snuck another one in the net to make it 3-1, as James Parnell would seal it at the point from Tobin Tuzinsky.  For the third, the Rage would render three beauties to close out the game. In the first three minutes, Emmerich sauced to Anderson Cornwell for him to grab some unneeded insurance. Then Tuzinsky would take it from there and rack up three points. He would score at 11:36 from Kelly's feed, and then capitalise off the power play at 5:26 to seal the deal. So after 60 minutes of hockey, the Rage finished off the Capitals 6-1 and recorded three consecutive wins this weekend.

West Bend 4 @ Mason City 1 - The West Bend Power took down the Mason City Toros at Mason City Arena in a thrilling matchup. During Saturday's slate between the two clubs, Mason City held off the Power by a goal, 4-3, but Sunday's game told a much different story. Here's how it went down. To start off the game, the first period was absent of any red lamps being lit. However in the second, the action started to appear. The Toros opened the scoring late into the frame on the power play, when TJ Gibson worked his scoring magic from the help of his linemates, Jason Williams and Weston Bohlman. But then nine seconds later, Jackson Hoem tied things up at one; and before the second buzzer, Jace Fitzgerald would feed Dylan Meese to break the tie with the go-ahead goal.  After all that and into the third, the Power took it from there with two solidifying goals. At 17:44, Wyatt Emmett knocked in a beauty past Ty Tanton to make it 3-1. And to cap it all off, West Bend would sneak one by with less than a minute to work with to seal the deal. After 60, the Power got their revenge over the Toros and will go home happy with a 4-1 win.

Maine 4 @ Long Beach 7 - The Long Beach Sharks had themselves a night on home ice against the Maine Nordiques and an absolute thrilling third period. Previously, during the last matchup on Saturday, the Sharks shutout the Nordiques 7-0. Although the scoring differential from today would differ than Saturday's, the Sharks still closed out a back-to-back win with plenty of high scoring episodes. For the first period, Ryder Pisiak opened the scoring for the home club. But minutes later the Nordiques tied it up which carried into the second from a goal by Jaxon Sardinha and a play-maker by Breck Langevin. In the second, Gavin Gleghorn for the Nordiques quickly broke the tie. However, Long Beach was patient during the remainder of the period to tie it back up, when Brendan Dalton wristed one through the pocket of Josef Simon at 8:07 to cap off the second. In the third, Jack Plummer quickly went to work with Dalton, as he would break the tie. Then 30 seconds later, the Nordiques would respond and tie it up again, as Malachi Clark would score unassisted. But after that, the Sharks went on a tear and absolutely silenced the Nordiques. Jace Tourtillott broke the tie with the go-ahead goal; then Dalton grabbed his second of the night with help from Sean Bailey. Catch your breath, because a minute later, Dalton would set up Gustav Martinsson to make it 6-3. And to cap it all off, Dalton notched another goal but while shorthanded. But before the final buzzer, Maine had one last act up their sleeve before heading back home, as Clark scored his second of the night to make it 7-4.

Pelham 3 @ Bayou State 4 (OT) - In a heated rematch at Monroe Civic Center, the Bayou State Rougarou defeated the Pelham Prowlers in overtime. On Saturday, the two teams met, with the Prowlers shutting down the home club 4-2. However, this time, the home team would get their revenge during a bonus hockey segment on a Sunday evening. To start off the first period, the Prowlers carried the energy from the previous game into this one, as Jackson Osby would open the scoring from a setup by Hunter Yurcik. Then for the second, Marlon Derksen lit the lamp and gave the Prowlers a two-nothing lead. But two minutes later, the Rougarou broke ice and put something on the board, as Andrew Raines was set up by Donovan Dunbar. And then they would score again to tie things up three minutes after, when Dunbar assisted again for Judah Temple.  But the tied score would not carry over into the third, as Yurcik managed to break the tie with under a minute. That small lead continued for most of the third. However, the Prowlers couldn't find it in them to sneak another one by netminder Jared Lang for insurance. And that would ultimately cost them big time, as Braylin Loftin tied it up and forced an overtime period. The tie goal by the Rougarou consequently spent the Prowlers’ energy and momentum, as Ethan Tierman would get it done in overtime for his home team.
