Hometown Kid of the Sharks is Hero in Overtime

New Jersey 2 @ Long Beach 3 (OT) - As the New Jersey Titans hit the road, they matchup with the Long Beach Sharks for a midweek matinee special. The Titans struck first with Juno Ryu finding the back of the net for the first time this season to give his team the lead in the first frame. Heading into the second period, the Sharks quickly even up the contest with second-year veteran, Jay Montgomery, finding the back of the net for the first time this year at the 18:26 mark. Moving into the third period, Montgomery strikes again notching his second goal of the year, giving Long Beach the 2-1 lead. However, New Jersey quickly ties up the contest a little over a minute later when Yosef Pievsky tallies a goal. As the clock ran out in the third, the game moved into overtime. With 19 seconds on the clock, hometown kid Brendan Dalton notches the game-winning goal for the Sharks, helping Long Beach secure their second consecutive win.
