The Drillers Continue to Dominant
Brody Neish tallies two goals against Pelham
Louisiana 8 @ Pelham 3 - The Louisiana Drillers make the trip to Alabama for a Thursday night showdown against the Prowlers. The contest kicked off with Drillers' fourth-year veteran, Brody Neish, tallying a goal five minutes into the contest. Emerson Laroche notches a goal quickly after him to give the Drillers a 2-0 lead heading into the second frame. The Drillers immediately find the back of the net in the second period, with Dylan Johnson scoring a goal 11 seconds into the frame. There is a reason why Neish is the leading scorer for the Drillers, because he dishes his second goal of the night 40 seconds after Johnson’s goal. Matthew Killen extends Louisiana's lead to 5-0 with his goal at the 16:56 minute mark. The Prowlers were able to claw back, notching their first goal of the night when Pelham’s leading scorer, Marlon Derksen, found the back of the net. However, the reigning Fraser Cup Champions know how to respond, and Louisiana's Carter Gnau scores a goal less than two minutes after Pelham’s goal. Heading into the final 20 minutes of play, Brayden Pelcl of the Drillers gets the scoring started again for his team with a goal 39 seconds into the period. Two minutes later, Lorenzo Pekarek secures his first goal of the month and gives the Prowlers their second goal of the night. Louisiana’s Zachary Marsell responds to Pelham’s goal and finds the back of the net at the 13:51 mark. Finally, the last goal of the night was scored by Jacob Harrison of the Prowlers. The Drillers secure an 8-3 victory and continue their dominance in the Southeast Division.
