Wednesday Wrap-up: New Hampshire Spotlights Dominant Win

New Hampshire 8 @ Maine 3 - The New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings took on the Maine Nordiques in a mid-week showdown. The Jr. Mountain Kings would come away with a dominant 8-3 win over the Nordiques. Noah Levesque would get the scoring started for the Mountain Kings with an unassisted goal eight minutes into the first. The Nordiques evened up the score at one with a short-handed goal by Carter Walls, assisted by Peyton Dyer and Gavin Gleghorn. The second period belonged to the Jr. Mountain Kings, as they added four goals, including two on the power play. The Jr. Mountain Kings took a 5-1 lead into the locker room. New Hampshire added another on the power play less than a minute into the third. The Nordiques started to dig into the deficit with two goals in five minutes at 9:47 and 5:02 by Brody Emond and Ayzik Laliberte, making the score 6-3. The Jr. Mountain Kings would not let up as they tallied two more goals by Tobias Guryca and Anthony Ayala in the final four minutes. The Mountain Kings tallied an impressive 75 shots on goal and skated away with the 8-3 win.

New Jersey 2 @ Buzz 3 - Heading into this contest, the Titans were looking to strike back from Tuesday's loss. The matchup kicks off with New Jersey finding the back of the net first, thanks to a tally by Juno Ryu midway through the opening frame. A little over three minutes later, the Buzz would even the contest when Theo Fritz found twine. The second period was a scoreless affair with both teams trading chances. The Buzz would outshot the Titans 11-10. Moving into the final frame, the Buzz would secure their first lead of the game when Tanner Nenninger scored at the 9:27 minute mark. However, New Jersey would even up the matchup when Jackson Dougherty scored on the man advantage. The Buzz would secure the win when Mason Bryant would find the back of the net with less than five minutes on the clock. New Jersey would fall in a 3-2 fashion.
