Hawks defenseman Stow makes NCAA Commitment
The Sheridan Hawks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Charlie Stow has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the newly established program at Albright College. Albright, located in Reading, Pennsylvania, will field an NCAA DIII ice hockey program for its inaugural season beginning in the fall of 2026.
Stow, 19, is no stranger to the NAHL family of leagues. The ‘06 blueliner joined the Hawks after spending two seasons in the NAPHL SHOW League with the Chicago Jets at the 16U and 18U levels.
Since making the jump to the juniors, Stow has skated two seasons in the NA3HL, appearing in 77 total games in the Frontier Division with Sheridan. During the 2024-25 season, he recorded 15 points in 45 games and has followed that up with 11 points through 32 games this season. One standout performance came on November 28th against Gillette, when Stow made his presence felt in a 4-1 Hawks victory, contributing two power play assists and showcasing his playmaking ability from the blue line.
Looking back on Stow’s growth and what lies ahead, Hawks’ Head Coach JJ Santagata shared: "Stow has really leaned into the development process and has taken massive strides from year one to now, to see him develop into a solidified top 4 defenseman for our times speaks volumes of what not only Stow himself has done to elevate his game but also what this league and division does to prepare guys for the next level. We are beyond proud of him for his commitment to Albright and look forward to seeing him excel and grow at the NCAA level."
He is the first player from the Hawks to make a college commitment this season.
