Jr. Blues goaltender Visvadra makes college commitment

The St. Louis Jr. Blues of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Travis Visvadra has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Maryville University.  

Visvadra, 20, is no stranger to the NAHL family of leagues. Before beginning his junior career, the ‘05 netminder developed in both the NAPHL SHOW and T1ER leagues with the West Dundee Leafs and Madison Capitols.

The Huntley, Illinois native has spent the past three seasons in the NA3HL, opening his junior career with the Peoria Mustangs before joining the St. Louis Jr. Blues, where he has spent the last two campaigns. Across 67 career games, Visvadra has compiled a 28-33-2-0 record with a .898 save percentage.

This season, he has played a pivotal role in St. Louis’ turnaround, helping the Jr. Blues clinch a playoff berth for the first time in six years. Through the regular season, Visvadra has posted a 14-11-1 record to date, delivering several timely performances that have fueled the Jr. Blues’ success.

One of his early standout efforts came on September 19 against West Bend, when St. Louis earned a commanding 6-1 victory. In that contest, Visvadra turned aside 22 of 23 shots for a .957 save percentage. He also put together an impressive stretch from late September through early November, stringing together seven consecutive wins between the pipes.

When asked about his goaltender’s commitment, Jr. Blues Head Coach Matt Ocello commented: “Travis came to the Jr. Blues for the 2024-2025 season and returned this season for his final year of Jr. eligibility.  He is excited to join Maryville University and continue playing hockey at the ACHA level.  He will be a good addition to the Maryville roster, and we look forward to seeing what he achieves during his collegiate play.”

Visvadra is one of three players from the Jr. Blues to make a college commitment this season.
