St. Louis Forward Land Makes College Commitment

May 26, 2026

The St. Louis Jr. Blues of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Lonnie Land has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for the University of Louisville (Louisville, Kentucky).

During the 2025-26 season, the St. Peters, Missouri native impressed many by recording 41 points in 44 games and almost doubling his point per game total from his first season with the St. Louis Jr. Blues.

This past season the 6-foot-3 forward scored 25 goals and added 16 assists. Those 25 goals leaves Land in the top-50 across all forwards in the league in goal scoring.

“Lonnie was a great asset to the Jr. Blues with his leadership and willing to do whatever it takes to be successful both on and off ice. He has a compete level and leadership abilities that are second to none,” said St. Louis Jr. Blues Head Coach Matt Ocello. “Lonnie can be an impact player on both ends of the rink. We look forward to watching Lonnie play at the ACHA D1 Level and what the next four years bring for him.”

The best performance of the 2025-26 season from Land came on Oct. 10 against the Wisconsin Woodsmen. Land recorded a goal and two assists in the Jr. Blues’ 5-3 victory over the Woodsmen on home ice.

Land is one of nine players from the St. Louis Jr. Blues to make a college commitment this season.
