St. Louis Defenseman Plager Makes College Commitment

The St. Louis Jr. Blues of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Jack Plager has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for the University of Louisville (Louisville, Kentucky).

Plager spent two seasons in the NA3HL. He scored 11 points consisting of three goals and eight assists across the 2025-2026 season for the St. Louis Jr. Blues.

"We are very happy for Jack as he is going to be continuing his hockey career into college.  For the last two seasons he has worked tremendously hard to develop into a very solid defensemen in the NA3HL,” said Blues Head Coach Matt Ocello. “Through his development and after attending a Spring ID Camp in Louisville he decided to begin his education this coming fall. We look forward to seeing Jack continue his development as well as watch his academic growth." 

The best performance of the 2025-26 season from Plager came on Sep. 27 against the Peoria Mustangs. In that game, Plager scored one goal and added one assist to aid the Blues in an overtime win against the Mustangs with a score of 6-5.

Plager is one of ten players from the St. Louis Jr. Blues to make a college commitment this season.
