Blizzard Goaltender Serene Makes College Commitment

June 29, 2026

The Alexandria Blizzard of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Jayden Serene has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Midland University (Fremont, Nebraska).

The River Falls, Wisconsin native has been with the Blizzard for three seasons. The best season statistically for Serene came during the 2025-2026 season when he recorded a 2.82 GAA and .911 SV%. He recorded two shutout games this season.

In February of 2026, Serene was selected to compete in the Top Prospects Tournament. The tournament consisted of the best uncommitted players in NA3HL and the NAHL. Serene represented the NA3HL on team Black.

“We are super excited for Jayden to continue his hockey career and his education.  It’s been a pleasure to have Jayden a part of our organization the last few years and we wish him the best of luck!” Said Blizzard Head Coach Jeff Crouse.

Serene’s best performances between the pipes came during back to back games against the Minnesota Moose on Jan. 23 and Jan. 31. In those games, Serene had two shutout games and recorded 73 saves throughout both games.

Serene recorded one appearance in the NAHL this season. He played in one game for the Chippewa Steel.

Serene is one of six players from the Alexandria Blizzard to make a college commitment this season.
