Norwich Defenseman Gronewald Makes College Commitment

The Norwich Sea Captains of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman, Connor Gronewald, has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa).

Gronewald spent two years in the league as a Sea Captain. His best season offensively was the 2024-25 season. 

During the 2025-26 season, he recorded six points during 46 games. He scored one goal and five assists.

Gronewald’s best performance of the year came on Jan. 2 against the Maine Nordiques. He had a two point game, consisting of two assists to aid in the Sea Captains’ 4-3 victory over the Nordiques.

Gronewald is one of five players from the Norwich Sea Captains to make a college commitment this season.
