Moose Defenseman Daravingas Makes College Commitment

The Minnesota Vulcans, formerly known as the Minnesota Moose, of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman, George Daravingas, has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Florida Gulf Coast University (Fort Myers, Florida).

Daravingas spent two years in the NA3HL with the Moose. The 2024-25 season was his best season offensively. He was named captain of the Moose during the 2025-26 season, cementing his place as a leader on the team. 

During the 2025-26 season, he recorded eight points during the regular season. He had one goal and seven assists throughout 44 regular season games. 

"George was a regular in the Moose lineup and a team captain. George's energy and consistency of play made him a very important part of the Moose's success,” said Vulcans head coach Todd Sanden. “George plays the game with an intensity level that most players never achieve. His energy and physicality are contagious in a good way."

Daravinga’s best performance of the year came on Nov. 11 against the Minnesota Wilderness. He recorded three assists to aid in the Moose’s 5-2 victory over the Wilderness.

Daravinga is one of twelve players from the Minnesota Moose to make a college commitment this season.
