Bats Forward Morris Makes College Commitment

The Austin Ice Bats of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward, Garrett Morris, has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for the University of Texas at San Antonio (San Antonio, Texas).

Morris spent two seasons in the NA3HL with the Bats. The 2025-26 season was his best season statistically. He recorded 34 points during the entirety of the regular and post season. He had nine goals and 25 assists throughout 37 games. Morris played in 6 post season games for the Bats during their playoff run.

One of his best performances of the year came on Dec. 7 against the Tulsa Oilers. He recorded one assist and scored two goals to aid in the Bat’s 16-1 victory over the Oilers.

Morris is one of seven players from the Austin Ice Bats to make a college commitment this season.
