Bozeman Forward Masopust Makes College Commitment
The Bozeman Icedogs of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward, Baron Masopust, has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, Texas).
Masopust spent two seasons in the NA3HL with the Icedogs. During the 2024-25 season he got a taste of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) by playing in one game with the Odessa Jackalopes. He finished out the season with the Icedogs, where he remained for the rest of his NA3HL career.
During the 2025-26 season, he recorded 32 points consisting of 14 goals and 18 assists.
“Baron has been an outstanding representative of the Bozeman ICEDOGS both on and off the ice. His leadership, character, and work ethic made a lasting impact on our program, and he played a huge role in building the culture we strive for every day,” said head coach of the Icedogs, Mike Perkins. “We’re incredibly proud of him for earning an academic scholarship to Texas Christian University and continuing his hockey career with the TCU ACHA D2 program. Baron is a tremendous young man, and while we’re going to miss having him in our locker room, we’re excited to watch him succeed in this next chapter.”
Masopust’s best performance of the year came on Dec. 14 against the Norwich Sea Captains when he racked up five points in the game. He scored two goals and recorded three assists to aid in the Icedogs 9-2 victory over the Sea Captains.
Masopust is one of four players from the Bozeman Icedogs to make a college commitment this season.
