3VIEW: Texas Brahmas

The 3View video series will feature an in-depth look into all NA3HL teams in preparation for the 2026-27 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 4th. 3View will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2026-27 season.

Head Coach: Michael Rooney (Entering 2nd season)

2025-26 season record: 36-7-2-2 (1st in South Division)

2025-26 leading scorer: John Scharf (27G 34A - 61 points)

2026 Playoffs: Eliminated in the Fraser Cup Semifinals by the Louisiana Drillers

2026-27 Division: South Division

Location: North Richland Hills, Texas

Michael Rooney remains as bench boss for the Brahmas. He emphasizes the importance of competitiveness everyday in order to prepare athletes for higher levels. 

“Everyday with this group, they’re going to learn how to compete.”

Rooney credits much of his success to the leadership found on his team last year, and he plans to continue building on that foundation moving forward.
