Austin Defenseman Abron Makes College Commitment

The Austin Ice Bats of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman, Wesley Abron, has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for the University of Texas at San Antonio (San Antonio, Texas).
Abron spent two seasons in the NA3HL with the Bats. The 2025-26 season was his best season offensively. He recorded four assists throughout 19 games for the Bats.
The Pflugerville, Texas native had his best performance of the year on Sep. 9 against the Tulsa Oilers. He recorded two assists to aid in the Bats’ 9-1 victory over the Oilers.
Abron is one of eight players from the Austin Ice Bats to make a college commitment this season.
