St. Louis Defenseman Nappier Makes College Commitment

The St. Louis Jr. Blues of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman, Mitchell Nappier, has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Maryville University (St. Louis, Missouri).

Nappier spent two seasons in the NA3HL with the St. Louis Jr. Blues. His improvement in the league was evident as the 2025-26 season was his best offensively. He recorded 36 points consisting of nine goals and 27 assists. 

“After spending the last two seasons with the Jr. Blues, Mitch has committed to Maryville University,” said Matt Ocello, head coach of the Jr. Blues. “Mitch saw a tremendous amount of playing time in all situations during his two years of junior hockey. He was able to grow his game through hard work and the experience that he gained. We look forward to seeing what Mitch does at the collegiate level.”

Nappier’s best performance of the year came on Oct. 4 against the Peoria Mustangs. He recorded five assists to aid in the Jr. Blues’ 7-1 victory over the Mustangs. 

Nappier is one of 12 players from the St. Louis Jr. Blues to make a college commitment this season.
