New Jersey 5 @ Garden State 2 - The New Jersey Titans secured a 5-2 victory over the Garden State Gamblers in midweek action at The Ice Palace. The Gamblers kicked off the action, with Alex Patsilevas scoring a shorthanded breakaway goal. The Titans were quick to respond, with Dewight Singleton tying things up two minutes later. New Jersey followed that up a minute later with another goal from Johnny Iwankiw, grabbing the Titans' first lead of the day. The Titans continued their offensive push in the opening period, tacking on one more goal from Devin Wagner from in front of the net to head into intermission with a 3-1 lead. The Titans’ momentum carried into the second period, as Timmy Gorlenko was able to redirect a rebounded puck back into the net, extending their lead to 4-1. Cutting into New Jersey’s advantage, Roman Gralak scored on the power play for Garden State to make it 4-2. In the final frame, Singleton scored his second goal of the night to secure the win for the Titans. The teams were nearly even in shots on goal, with New Jersey holding a slight advantage, 28-27.
Phoenix 8 @ Oklahoma City 0 - Goalie Ryder Ness and the Phoenix Inferno delivered a shutout performance over the Oklahoma City Warriors, 8-0. Early on, both teams' defenses were on point, limiting the first period to only 21 shots on goal across both teams. Only one of Phoenix’s goals came from the first period, as Trevor Grazier scored on the power play with three minutes left in the opening frame. The first 10 minutes of the second period faced the same quiet fate, until James Greenwood scored a second-chance goal. Kash Benson kept things rolling in the second, followed by Grazier’s second of the night to end the second period up 4-0 for the Inferno. Phoenix did not let up in the third, scoring their most goals in the final frame. Just over two minutes into the period, Chase Olson scored, followed by Brayden Macmillian, who picked up his first goal of the season. Olson picked up his second goal of the game 10 minutes after his first one, bringing the score to 7-0. With just under three minutes left, Nicholas Nunez rounded out scoring for the night, completing the 8-0 shutout win. The Inferno held the shots advantage in every period, shooting 53 compared to the Warriors' 16 shots of the night.
