Player Advancement

The NA3HL is committed to developing players and advancing them to higher levels of hockey, with a strong emphasis on college placement. During the 2024-25 season, more than 55 NA3HL alumni made the jump to the NAHL, highlighting the league’s effectiveness in preparing players for Tier II junior hockey and beyond.
As part of ongoing development initiatives, all 34 NAHL teams are actively partnering with NA3HL clubs to expand player access and exposure. One key component of this collaboration allows NA3HL players to practice with NAHL teams during the 2025-26 season. This increased interaction between leagues enhances scouting, evaluation, and player development opportunities, offering experiences rarely found in other USA Hockey-sanctioned junior leagues.
So far in 2025, the NA3HL has surpassed 100 college commitments, with players advancing to programs across the NCAA and ACHA. The league proudly supports its athletes in both their academic and athletic journeys, with over 330 alumni currently playing NCAA hockey, 20 at the Division I level and 313 in Division III, as well as more than 750 competing in the ACHA.
