West and East win on Day 1 at Top Prospects
It was a dominating Day 1 for the West and East Divisions at the NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament in Troy, Michigan. Day 2 begins early on Tuesday in cooperation with the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament and the NAPHL Championship games.

West 11 vs. Central 1 – The West team scored early and often as they beat Central 11-1. West jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period on two goals from Tim Santopoalo and others from Crosby Steen and Richie Marenis. Jake Mullendore scored twice to make it 6-0 and a goal from Garrett Skinner made it 7-0 before the Central got their only goal from Nathan Chasteen. Calvin Miska, Joe Anderson Isaac Hale and Marenis added four 3rd period goals for the win. Chris Amsden played the entire game in goal for the West, while Billy Hindle and Michael Paku split time for the Central Team. Boxscore
East 6 vs. South 3 – Two late 3rd period goals gave the East the breathing room they needed in a 6-3 win over South. The East jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Nick Gnagni and Nick Balavich. South would answer to tie the score at 2-2 on goals from Kyle Shreve and Kole Hudson. Balavich and Gnagni would both score their second goals of the game in the 2nd period to push the lead to 4-2, but a goal from Nick Rizzo cut the lead to 4-3 at the end of two periods. Tom Diffendal and Mark McGee added 3rd period goals for the East to secure the win.
