Flying Aces forward Martinez makes NCAA commitment

The Minnesota Flying Aces of the North American 3 Hockey League are pleased to announce that forward Anthony Martinez has made an NCAA commitment. Martinez, 20, will continue his hockey career at Becker College, a NCAA Division III program. Becker is a part of the ECAC Northeast Conference, which competes at the NCAA Division III level. 
 
Martinez, a native of Rocklin, California, is in his second season in the NA3HL and first with the Flying Aces. Martinez (5’10/180) began the season in Alexandria, but after two games joined the Flying Aces. In 38 games with Minnesota this season, Martinez has 31 points, which ranks 3rd on the team. Martinez has set career highs for goals (12), assists (19) and points (31) this season.
 
Last year, Martinez played the majority of the season for the Breezy Point North Stars after starting the season with Granite City. In 83 career NA3HL games, Martinez has 45 career points.
 
Prior to playing in the NA3HL, Martinez played for the San Jose Jr. Sharks in the NAPHL. Martinez played during the 2011-12 season for the 18U Jr. Sharks and recorded seven points in 22 games played.
