Friday Finals: Cleveland blanks Toledo
Dallas 3 @ Topeka 6 – In his first NA3HL game Seth Kamrass scored a goal and added an assist as Topeka doubled up Dallas, 6-3. Dallas goals came from Matt Zaragoza, Cam Choate and Colin South as the Stars had the game tied at 2-2 after one period. Topeka scored four of the last five goals including markers from Kamrass, two from Dante Juris, Hardijs Kupaks, Tommy Malkmus and Alex Sauer. Boxscore
Cleveland 5 @ Toledo 0 – Tyler Jansen stopped all 35 shots that came his way as Cleveland blanked Toledo, 5-0. All the scoring the Jr. Lumberjacks needed came in the 1st period as Ben Lau and Brendan Logan scored. Jared Johnson added a 2nd period goal and Mike Palasics added the final two goals for Cleveland. Nate Gay played the majority of the game in goal for Toledo making 25 saves. Boxscore
Breezy Point 2 @ Granite City 9 – Zach Voss and Aidan Verbeke each scored twice to lead the Lumberjacks to a convincing 9-2 win over the North Stars on Friday. Voss and Verbeke each scored in the 1st period along with Nick Schreiner for a 3-1 lead. The lead was 7-1 after two periods after more goals from Taylor Brown, Travis Kothenbeutel, Luke Richardson and David Kenney. Voss and Verbeke would score in the 3rd period. Nick Manney and Crosby Steen had the North Stars goals. Boxscore
Twin City 4 @ North Iowa 5 (OT) – In a potential first round playoff match-up, the Bulls had to come from behind to beat the Steel, 5-4. Twin City led 3-0 on two goals from Jace Childs and another from Dylan Lincoln. North Iowa tied the game on goals from Chancie Hanson, Matt Kroska and Joe Kleven. Cory Johnson gave the Steel the lead back in the 3rd period, but Conor Jonasson tied the game at 4-4 with less than two minutes left. In the OT, Kroska scored less than a minute into the extra frame to win the game on his second goal of the night. Boxscore
