Dallas 10 @ Sugar Land 1 (Dallas wins best of three series, 2-0) – Dallas takes the series with a big win in game two. Jake Gevaart starts the scoring off for Dallas with assists from Huspen and Burns. Sugar Land counters with a goal from Campbell to tie it up at one a piece. Zaragoza adds one more goal for Dallas before the end of the 1st. It’s all Dallas from this point on. In the 2nd Dallas tacks on another four goals from Smith, Jansen, Cyrenne, and MacInnis. And in the 3rd they add another four from MacInnis, Huspen, Salisbury, and Cyrenne. Chris Mallon gets the win with 18 saves. Boxscore

Twin City 1 @ North Iowa 7 (North Iowa leads best of three series, 1-0) – North Iowa dominates the first game of the series with a 7-1 win over Twin City. Penvose starts off the scoring for North Iowa in the 1st. The Bulls add on another two before the period ends with goals from Kroska and Jackson. In the 2nd North Iowa adds on another two goals from Santopoalo and Krueger. Twin City gets on the board in the 3rd with a goal from Chase Myers-Beck. Getting assists on the play are Childs and Hale. North Iowa finishes the game off with two more from Brown and Jackson. Chris Amsden gets the win in net with 18 saves. Boxscore

Alexandria 4 @ Granite City 1 (Alexandria leads best of three series, 1-0) – Alexandria gets on the board first with a goal from Ian Ecklund. Getting the assist on the play was Tanner Skaja. In the 2nd Alexandria gets another two goals, the first from Danny Pelzer and the second from Joe Anderson on the power play. Granite City gets their first and only goal in the 2nd from Luke Richardson. In the 3rd Bo Gronseth gets an empty netter for Alexandria to seal game 1. Kyle Miller gets the win in net with 22 saves. Chicago 2 @ Peoria 4 (Peoria leads best of three series, 1-0) – Marc Hayton gets the win in net for Peoria with 25 saves to take game 1. Peoria gets on the board first with a goal from Gage Van Order. In the 2nd Chicago gets on the board with a power play goal from Luke Morin. Marshall Gevers gets Peoria its second goal of the night but Chicago counters with a goal from Toms Taurins. In the 3rd Joshua Hart gets Peoria its third goal of the night and Sam Turner finishes the game off with an empty netter. Boxscore

St. Louis 4 @ Wisconsin 3 (St. Louis leads best of three series, 1-0) – St. Louis gets the win to take game one of the series. The lone goal in the 1st period was scored by Tommy Heinzman for St. Louis. In the 2nd, the Blues score first with a goal from Koscielski. Wisconsin counters with two goals from Tarvis and Johnson. Before the period is over Alex Klaesner adds another goal for the Blues. In the 3rd, Wisconsin ties the game up at 3 a piece with a goal from Connor Hyde. The game winner for St. Louis comes from Christian Argyros. Billy Hindle gets the win in net with 42 saves. Boxscore

Cleveland 8 @ Pittsburgh 5 (Cleveland leads best of three series, 1-0) – Cleveland takes game 1 of the series. It was a busy 1st period with 6 goals scored between both teams. Cleveland scores first with a goal from Balavich. Pittsburgh counters with a power play goal from Black. Cleveland gets another 2 goals from Lau and Logan and Pittsburgh’s Osen and Trombetta get 2. In the 2nd period it was all Cleveland with goals coming from Johnson and Wipper. In the 3rd Pittsburgh put up 2 more from Osen and Pokka but Cleveland finished off the game with 3 more.
