May 19, 2014
Breezy Point North Stars and NA3HL defenseman Bo Borowski has committed to play his collegiate hockey at Robert Morris University-Illinois. The 6'2/180 lbs. left handed blueliner from Bemidji, Minnesota is the fifth NA3HL player to commit to the ACHA National Runners-Up.
"Bo's on ice abilities are impressive and we expect he'll make a quick impact on the team," said Hockey Director Tom Wendlandt. "But his academic record is even more notable, and we're always very excited to add someone to the program who embodies what it means to be a true student-athlete."
Borowski, 20, just completed his second season playing in the NA3HL for the North Stars. In 48 games played this season, Borowski had 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists). Borowski also played for the North Stars during the 2012-13 season. In 47 games, he registered 10 points. In his NA3HL career, Borowski finished with 24 points in 95 games played.
Borowski was also selected to play for Team West at the 2014 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, where the team won the event with a perfect 3-0 record.
Prior to playing junior hockey in the NA3HL, Borowski played high school hockey in Minnesota for Bemidji High School.
