Bulls forward Penvose makes college commitment
North Iowa Bulls and NA3HL forward Ian Penvose has committed to Northeastern University on an academic scholarship and will be a part of the ACHA Huskies program.
Penvose, from Woodbury, Minnesota was an impact player for the Bulls playing in 42 regular season games, nine NA3HL playoff games and all five games at the USA Hockey Tier III national tournament recording point totals of 16 goals and 15 assists and was a +31. Three of Ian's goals were game winners.
"Ian was one of our most responsible players and garnered regular penalty killing time and some power play time as well," said Bulls coach Todd Sanden.
During the season, Penvose was called up to the NAHL's Austin Bruins for a weekend series this year and competed well according to the Bruin's staff.
"Ian will be missed but we wish him the best at Northeastern and know that this was an opportunity he could not pass up," continued Sanden.
Prior to playing for the Bulls this season, Penvose played high school hockey in Minnesota for East Ridge.
