In 10 games for the NAHL's Amarillo Bulls, Marenis scored one goal and was +1.

Playoff hockey was where Marenis really made his mark, scoring 15 goals and 14 assists in 14 NA3HL playoff contests.  At the USA Hockey Nationals, Marenis lead the 2014 Tier III Junior tournament in scoring with 7 goals and 4 assists.

In 2013, en route to capturing the USA Hockey national championship he contributed 4 goals and 2 assists including a goal in the title game.

During the 2014 NA3HL Top Prospects event Marenis notched 5 goals and 3 assists in the 3 game event.

"To say that Rihards is a special player is an understatement.  Rihards was not just a leader in the points department he also took it upon himself to spend time mentoring younger Bulls players during this season which speaks to his team devotion and desire to help those around him become successful," said North Iowa head coach Todd Sanden.

"Rihards really takes the game seriously and I expect that he will be a very successful college hockey player and probably beyond that."

The entire North Iowa Bulls organization wish Rihards Marenis continued success in his collegiate career at Aurora University.
