Ducks forward Dukus called up to the NAHL

December 11, 2014
The Point Mallard Ducks of the NA3HL are proud to announce that 18-year-old forward Grant Dukus has been called up to the Minnesota Magicians of the NAHL.

Dukus is the third Duck to get the call for advancement this season, joining Matt Goodman and Jake Champaign- who played and affiliated with the Springfield Jr. Blues.

A native of Trenton, MI, Dukus was the leading scorer in the NA3HL before getting called up, and has led the inaugural Point Mallard Ducks to a 13-8 record.  With 14 goals and 19 assists in only 18 games, Dukus helped the Magicians break a losing streak, with Minnesota defeating a strong Wilderness team in a shootout Sunday night.

"Having three guys called up already this year has been a great sign that we are doing things right down here.  As a TPH program our goal is excellence, and promoting players is a big part of our culture.  Grant has been a great leader on and off the ice for us, and has earned this opportunity." said Head Coach Craig Bushey.
