Toledo forward Estrel makes college commitment

The Toledo Cherokee of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward Cody Estrel (Sylvania, OH) has committed to the University of Toledo where he will continue his hockey career in the ACHA.
The 19-year-old led the Cherokee in scoring with 59 points during the regular season and helped lead Toledo to the postseason. In 46 games Estrel netted 16 goals and added 43 assists.
He also was selected to and played in the 2015 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the East Division Team, recording two points in two games.
Prior to joining the Cherokee Cody helped guide the Northview Wildcats HS program to two state championships.
“Cody was a guy we landed right as the season started and he produced very well for us in the NA3HL, he will be a high end player for the Rockets and we are very happy for him and his family.” Said head coach Kenny Miller
While attending the University of Toledo Estrel will also be a member of the Air National Guard.
The Rockets coaching staff is looking forward to having Cody on board. “We are excited for the experience he will bring. He is obviously a talented player and we are happy to welcome him as a Rocket," said University of Toledo head coach Daniel Conway.
