Glacier forward Unekis makes college commitment

The Glacier Nationals of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward Tyler Unekis, has received a $40,000 scholarship and committed to play hockey at Wagner College.
The Seahawks are an ACHA Division 2 program playing in the Mid-Atlantic division (MACH). Wagner College is located in Staten Island, New York just 15 miles or a short ferry ride from Manhattan.
Tyler came to the Nationals after playing 13 games for the New York Aviators at the start of 2014. Finishing the year having played 28 games for the Glacier Nationals NA3HL. In those 28 games, Unekis had five points.
"Mike Stanaway and I have worked together many times before to help players find the right fit. This season was no exception. The trade worked out very well for both players and programs. Tyler stepped right into our program and became one of the key guys in our success this season," stated Head Coach Butch Kowalka.
Unekis a 5'10" 165lbs native of Antioch, IL will do very well for the Seahawks program and we wish him all the success and best of luck for the upcoming season and school year.
