NA3HL announces 2015 Showcase schedule

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced the final schedule for the 2015 NA3HL Showcase presented by Easton.  This season marks the sixth straight year the NA3HL will hold a league-wide Showcase, which features some of the best junior talent in the United States. 

 

The event will be played from December 17-19, 2015 at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota, where the NA3HL held its Showcase last season. In addition, two prospect teams from the NA3EHL will also participate in the NA3HL Showcase. All 34 NA3HL teams will play three regular-season games at the Showcase, which is annually one of the most well-attended and scouted events of the entire season for the league, attracting college and junior scouts alike.

 

 

“We are excited to return to Blaine. The Schwan Super Rink is the perfect place to showcase our 34 teams alongside two guest teams from the NA3EHL,” said NA3HL Commissioner Denny Scanlon. “The initial feedback received from both teams and scouts has been overwhelmingly positive. The timing is perfect.  College coaches will be able to attend because their teams are on semester break. In addition, all NAHL teams will have a scouting representative present at the event.  It should be a very exciting week for the players.”

 

The Schwan Super Rink is the largest ice arena of its kind in the world. The state-of-the-art facility, a $21 million project totaling over 300,000 square feet, features eight sheets of ice under one roof.

 

All the games at the NA3HL Showcase will be broadcast live on FASTHockey.

 

In addition, the NAHL Central Scouting System will be in full swing for the NA3HL in Blaine. The Central Scouting System is lead by Craig Barnett, Coordinator of Player of Personnel for both the NA3HL and NAPHL. Barnett’s primary role is to coordinate the scouting at all NA3HL and NAPHL events, and to promote player advancement and to supply information to NAHL, NCAA and other junior and collegiate coaches.
