Bandits back in business with Game 3 win
Goaltender Tyler Bruggeman stopped all 27 shots he faced and forward Cody Ganchar scored the only goal of the game as the St. Louis Bandits blanked the Texas Tornado, 1-0, in Game 3 of their best-of-five South Division semifinals series of the North American Hockey League’s (NAHL) Robertson Cup Playoffs on Wednesday.
"Our young men did an excellent job of sticking to the game plan and doing the little things it takes to win," said Bandits assistant coach Rocky Russo. "It was a great team effort."
Ganchar’s marker came unassisted at the 2:29 mark of the second period.
The Tornado leads the series, 2 games to 1, with Game 4 set for Thursday, April 8 in Texas (7 p.m. local time).
"We'll need a similar effort tomorrow (in Game 4) to push the series back to St. Louis," Russo added.
