Jr. Blues forward Marshall gets call to NAHL
October 15, 2015
The St Louis Jr. Blues of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward Bayley Marshall has been called up to the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League.
Since joining the Jr. Blues, the 6-3, 195 lb Marshall has been a potent offensive force with seven goals and nine assists for 16 points. Marshall is currently second on the team in scoring.
Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher said of the promotion: “Bayley has joined the long list of St. Louis Jr. Blues and players from the NA3HL who have earned promotions to the NAHL through the NA3HL route. He is a very talented hockey player who is getting a chance to show he can play at the next level. We wish Bayley the best of luck.”
On October 7th, Marshall was named the NA3HL Midwest Division Star of the Week. The 18-year-old native of St. Charles, IL, exploded for 11 points in two road wins over the Evansville Thunderbolts during that week. Marshall (6’3/195) was also +8 in the two games and scored six goals. On Saturday, Marshall had two goals, including the game-winner, and three assists in a 9-0 win. On Sunday he was even better scoring four goals and adding two assists in a 10-2 win. “Bayley just joined our team and has made an immediate impact. He's a highly skilled forward with great offensive instincts. He instantly jelled with line-mates Zach Mitchell and Sam Maddox and the scoresheet shows it,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher.
Last year the NA3HL saw over 40 players promoted to the North American Hockey League. The NA3HL is proving to be a launching pad for moving players on to the only Tier II league in the United States.
