Roc City, Fighting Spirit win on Friday

Maine 0 @ L/A Fighting Spirit 4 - Lewiston/Auburn had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over Maine. Lewiston/Auburn was led by Alexander Friend, who grabbed one goal. Friend scored 1:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lewiston/Auburn. Mark Ferullo picked up the assist. Lewiston/Auburn kept Maine's goalie busy throughout the game, and Robson Stewart made 40 saves on 44 shots. Lewiston/Auburn also got points from Walker Hamilton, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Dylan Vrees, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Colby Siering, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Lewiston/Auburn were Brett Bittner, who had one. Zachary Barry made 12 saves for Lewiston/Auburn on 12 shots.

 

Wilkes-Barre 5 @ Roc City 6 - Wilkes-Barre tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Roc City would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-5. A goal by Nicholas Cignarale put Roc City up 5-2 in the second period, but Wilkes-Barre pulled to within one on Corey Feist's tally 7:50 into the third period. Roc City additionally got points from Cameron Clark, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Roc City included Brandon Corey and Cole Whitehead, who scored one goal each. More assists for Roc City came via Jared Tam-Grimshaw, who had two, Aidan Conolly and Zach Bucholz, who each chipped in one, and Sam Cammilleri and Anthony DePetres, who contributed three each. Wilkes-Barre was led by Ryan Flanagan, who tallied four goals and one assist. Wilkes-Barre also got points from Feist, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Wilkes-Barre received assists from Ruben Gonzales and Hunter Hackling, who each chipped in one and Zacharia Ouladelhadjahmed and Derrick Wruble, who contributed two each. Roc City's Justin Nevinger stopped 20 shots out of the 25 that he faced.
