Friday Finals: Northeast offense comes alive in win over Maine

L/A Fighting Spirit 4 @ East Coast 2 - Lewiston/Auburn and East Coast were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Lewiston/Auburn made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2. Lewiston/Auburn gained the winning advantage on a goal by Dylan Vrees 16:09 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. Colby Siering had two goals to lead Lewiston/Auburn to victory. Siering scored short handed at 15:29 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while short handed 19:41 into the second to make the score 4-2 Lewiston/Auburn. Lewiston/Auburn forced East Coast goalie Aidan Critchlow to work between the pipes, taking 62 shots. Lewiston/Auburn additionally got points from Vrees, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Jersey Shore were Alexander Tan, Drew Brown, John Rubin, Craig Berry, Bogdan Khvatov, and Freddie Schaljo, who each chipped in one and Scott Hansen and Tyler Goclan, who contributed two each. Roc City was helped by Matthew Simoncelli, who registered one goal. Simoncelli scored 2:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Roc City. Bryan Smith picked up the assist.
