GONGSHOW Flow of the Month winner for November announced

December 4, 2015
We will say it once and say it again, there are a couple times a year that have the distinction of being called the most wonderful time of the year. For Christmas fans, it is in late December. For football fans, it is the first Sunday in February.  However, for male hair enthusiasts that play hockey, it is either in November or during the playoffs.

With that said, the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) announced its GONGSHOW Flow of the Month winner for November 2015.

The winner this month is defenseman Andrew Cooley from the Atlanta Capitals.

We will go into detail on his complete package and flow submission, but let us first met the man behind the flow.

Cooley, 20, is in his second and final season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL. The native of Wasilla, Alaska, has appeared in 21 games this season for the Capitals, who are off to a great start. Cooley (6’3/210) has 12 points and is a +34 from the blueline this season. He is so solid defensively and offensively that his +34 rating is tied for best in the NA3HL at the current moment.

In two years with the Capitals organization, Cooley has played in 68 career games with 32 career points and a overall rating of +61.  Now that is one solid dman!

But as good as Murphy is on the ice, he takes things to a whole new level with his November pictures and flow. Those of you wanting to know what it takes to be a Flow of the Month Champion, take notes…

This may be the best flow/beard combination we have seen all season long. It is just incredible. Who in the world would want to stare down this guy on a face off? Besides his size and prowess on the ice, you are intimated from the moment you see the ‘Hulk Hogan/Rik Flair-esque’ blond lions mane just bursting out of the helmet. This is a taken time to groom and several Paul Mitchell products to grow and maintain. It is feathered, wavy, golden and reminds us of some type of Scandinavian God.

But Cooley didn’t stop there… oh no.  He went full on red beard for the Movember cause and truly established himself on the same level as Paul Bunyan. The beard is full, thick and would keep him warm in the coldest of Alaska winters in his home state.  But, he plays hockey in the warm Southern comfort of Atlanta, Georgia.  Still an incredible beard.

This combo puts Cooley right at the top of the list for the best flow we have seen all season long. Congrats Andrew… and for his effort, he will be receiving a GONGSHOW Gear hat.
