Wisconsin forward Henderson makes NCAA commitment

The Wisconsin Whalers of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Peter Henderson has committed to play NCAA hockey at Marian University. Marian is an NCAA Division III program located in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, who play out of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA).
Henderson, 20, is currently in his second season in the NA3HL playing for the Whalers. He is currently leading the NA3HL in scoring with 69 points (32 goals, 37 assists) in 32 games played. He is currently riding a seven-game point streak.
Last season, Henderson (5’11/175) was named the NA3HL Forward of the Year, as well as, the NA3HL Rookie of the Year. In 79 career NA3HL games, Henderson has an amazing 152 points. He also had previously signed an NAHL tender with Janesville.
The Libertyville, Illinois native was named NA3HL Forward of the Month in November. Henderson also recorded two points in two games while playing for the Central Division team at the 2015 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.

Peter has been one of our most consistent players the past two seasons. He sees the ice vey well and used his speed and skill to his advantage. He is ready for the next step in his career and we are proud to say that will be in the NCAA,” said Wisconsin Whalers head coach Tom McDermott.
