NA3EHL Weekend Preview
February 5, 2016
With the final NA3EHL Showcase in the rearview mirror and only a month left in the regular season, the stretch run for all NA3EHL teams is here.
There still remains some drama as to who will be the top four teams in each division and where they will finish in the standings.
In the East Division, the top four teams are virtually set as Cape Cod, the L/A Fighting Spirit and New England have clinched. The Skyalnds Kings are a virtual lock to be the 4th team, while Cape Cod needs just a few more wins to capture the regular season title. The 1st place Islanders host the 2nd place Fighting Spirit on Saturday, while the Fighting Spirit are also on the road Friday at East Coast. New England plays twice this weekend, as do the Maine Wild and East Coast Minutemen.
In the West Division, Jersey Shore is just a few wins away from securing the division title, while New York and Roc City are within a few wins of a playoff berth. With Wilkes-Barre out of the mix, the real race is for the 4th and final spot in the West between Syracuse and Lockport, who are tied for the last spot with 33 points each. This weekend, Jersey Shore is at Roc City, Wilkes-Barre is at New York, but all eyes will be on Syracuse as they host Lockport for a pair of games.
