Breezy Point defenseman Dennis gets call to the NAHL

February 11, 2016
The Breezy Point North Stars of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Cory Dennis has been called up to the NAHL to play for the Kenai River Brown Bears.  The Brown Bears compete in the NAHL’s Midwest Division.

Dennis, 18, is in his first season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL. In 37 games played this season with the North Stars, Dennis (6’1/180) has 12 points (2 goals, 10 assists).

The native of Madison, WI, was second on the team in scoring for all defensemen.

"Cory is very smart defenseman who skates extremely well and we wish Cory the best of luck in Kenai River and his bright future,” said North Stars head coach Josh Dallmann.

Dennis is yet another Breezy Point player that gets to play at the next level this year. Goalie Magnus Lindhe who played in Brookings is now also in Kenai River.

Also, goalie Wes Paupore had an opportunity to play with the Bismarck Bobcats.  Andrew Heckaman and Billy Nichol did very well with the Kenai River Brown Bears, both of whom tallied points for the team.  Nick Blanchette also had an in-season skate with the Brookings Blizzard this season.

"We are very happy that the players for the North Stars are being called up to the next level.  That's what our team and this level is all about,” continued Dallmann.
