Friday Finals: Both Express and Stampede win to stay close

Syracuse Stampede 4 vs. Roc City Royals 2 - Nate Walker was all over the ice for Syracuse, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Syracuse's 4-2 win over Roc City. Walker scored at 12:34 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Syracuse and again while 19:38 into the third to make the score 4-2 Syracuse. Roc City was unable to stop Syracuse from sending pucks towards the net, and Syracuse eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Syracuse additionally got points from Brendan Sand, who also had one goal and one assist. Syracuse also got a goal from Ryan Gilroy as well. In addition, Syracuse received assists from Kyle VanWagner, who had two and Dan Buehler and Rocco DeRollo, who contributed one each. Roc City was helped by Sam Cammilleri, who registered one goal. Cammilleri scored 12:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Syracuse. Aidan Conolly picked up the assist. Brandon Corey also scored for Roc City. Other players who recorded assists for Roc City were Cameron Clark, Anthony DePetres, and Justin Allen, who each chipped in one. Syracuse's VanWagner stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Justin Nevinger rejected 30 shots on goal for Roc City. 
 
Lockport Express 5 vs. Wilkes Barre Miners 3 - A goal by Christopher Gasiewicz put Lockport up 5-2 in the third period, but Wilkes-Barre pulled to within two on Darrin Bruce Jr's tally 15:05 into the third period. Lockport kept Wilkes-Barre's goalie busy throughout the game, and Devin Peterson made 33 saves on 38 shots.  Lockport was led by Erick Santiago, who registered three goals. Lockport also got points from Mark Friol, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Lockport received assists from Jordan Pocobello, Kurt Villani, Ryan Logar, and Dylan Jenkins, who each chipped in one and Peter Guido and Fankie Bodami, who contributed two each. Wilkes-Barre's offense rang up 47 shots on Lockport's net. Wilkes-Barre was led by Brett Welsh, who finished with two goals. Welsh scored the first of his two goals at 12:32 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Lockport. Hunter Hackling assisted on the tally. Welsh's next tally made the score 3-2 Lockport with 1:25 left in the second period. Zacharia Ouladelhadjahmed picked up the assist. Sal Stalteri made 44 saves for Lockport on 47 shots. 

Cape Cod Islanders 5 vs. Northeast Generals 3 - No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Maxime Dordet at 18:18 of the third period. Cape Cod was led by Dordet, who grabbed one goal and one assist. In the losing effort, Northeast was led by Kevin Perry, who racked up two goals and one assist. Perry scored the first of his two goals at 10:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Northeast. Travis Hyde assisted on the tally. Perry's next tally made the score 2-0 Northeast with 14:35 left in the second period. Luke Whalen provided the assist. Cape Cod forced Northeast goalie Trevor Trudeau to work between the pipes, taking 58 shots. Cape Cod also got points from Mike Jessman, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cape Cod also had goals scored by James Brosnan, Steven Mathews, and Max Campbell, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cape Cod came via Zack Goodman, Anthony Giannelli, Dan Moore, Chris ODonnell, and Mitchell Eldridge, who each chipped in one. Northeast additionally got points from Hyde, who also had one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Northeast were Tommy Bellew, who had two. Jonathan Stone rejected 24 shots on goal for Cape Cod. Northeast's Trudeau stopped 53 shots out of the 58 that he faced.
