Cape Cod Islanders 5 vs. New England Stars 4 (OT) - Cape Cod's Mike Jessman scored 2:51 into overtime to beat New England, 5-4 (OT). Cape Cod got the win behind a great game by Jessman, who had two goals and two assists. Jessman scored the first of his two goals at 11:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cape Cod. Zack Goodman provided the assist. Jessman's next tally made the score 5-4 Cape Cod with 17:09 left in overtime. Chuck Costello assisted on the tally. Cape Cod's offense rang up 36 shots on New England's net. Cape Cod also got points from Aaron Deady, who also had one goal and one assist and Costello, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Eric Szeker also scored for Cape Cod. In addition, Cape Cod received assists from Steven Mathews, Dan Moore, and Karl-Eric Demers, who contributed one each. Cape Cod was unable to stop New England from sending pucks towards the net, and New England eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. New England was helped by Brandon Hamner, who registered one goal. Linquito picked up the assist. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Daniel Heffernan at 4:34 of the third period. Lewiston/Auburn's offense rang up 47 shots on East Coast's net. Others who scored for Lewiston/Auburn included Thomas Puetz, Brett Bittner, and Clay Janowiak, who scored one goal each. More assists for Lewiston/Auburn came via Joseph Mooney, Walker Hamilton, Dylan Vrees, Austin Davis, Austin Siering, Jon Paul Chauvin, Alexander Friend, and Mark Ferullo, who contributed one each. East Coast was helped by Albert Wiggins, who grabbed one goal. Wiggins scored 2:32 into the second period to make the score 2-1 East Coast. Michael Bellmore provided the assist. Mason Smith also scored for East Coast. In addition, East Coast received assists from Matt Moreschi, Ryan Monte, and Preston Palamara, who each chipped in one. New York Aviators 4 vs. Jersey Shore Wildcats 2 - Dominick Sacco opened the gates at 2:49 of the first period on a power play goal, allowing New York to secure a 4-2 win over Jersey Shore. Other goal scorers for New York include Phillip Garcia, Martin Grinberg, and Daniel Backstrom, who each netted one. Sacco, Backstrom, Sam Shaheen, Alexei Pilatsky, and Eric Hewitt collected one assist each, and Jimmy Warrick had two assists for New York. Freddie Schaljo collected both goals for Jersey Shore, one at 13:00 of the first period to tie the game at one, and again at 19:21 of the second period to tie the game at two. Marcus McCall and Tayler Goclan also got on the scoresheet for Jersey Shore, totaling one assist a piece in the match. Stephen Mundinger stopped 37 of 39 shots on net for New York, while Scott Albertoni made 40 saves on 44 shots for Jersey Shore.
