Cape Cod Islanders 5 vs. New England Stars 4 (OT) - Cape Cod's Mike Jessman scored 2:51 into overtime to beat New England, 5-4 (OT). Cape Cod got the win behind a great game by Jessman, who had two goals and two assists. Jessman scored the first of his two goals at 11:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cape Cod. Zack Goodman provided the assist. Jessman's next tally made the score 5-4 Cape Cod with 17:09 left in overtime. Chuck Costello assisted on the tally. Cape Cod's offense rang up 36 shots on New England's net. Cape Cod also got points from Aaron Deady, who also had one goal and one assist and Costello, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Eric Szeker also scored for Cape Cod. In addition, Cape Cod received assists from Steven Mathews, Dan Moore, and Karl-Eric Demers, who contributed one each.
