Four more Wooster players make college commitments

The Wooster Oilers, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that four more players have made college commitments.
Forwards Tyler Houmard, Steven Frankel, Rubin Chavarria and defenseman Brad Sneed have all committed to play ACHA Division I hockey at Kent State University.
Houmard, 20, is in his second and final season playing in the NA3HL and first for the Wooster Oilers. The native on Canton, OH, is currently 3rd in team scoring with 26 points in 37 games played. Last season, Houmard (5’9/190) played for the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks in their final NA3HL season, where he had 26 points in 47 games played.
Frankel, 21, is a three-year veteran of the Wooster Oilers program and is playing in his first and final season in the NA3HL. The 6’2/230 lbs. forward from Washington, DC, has three points in 23 games played for the Oilers this season. Frankel played the previous two seasons for the Oilers when they were a part of the MNJHL.
Chavarria, 20, is also in his final season of junior hockey, the last three years of which were spent with the Oilers. In his only season playing in the NA3HL, he is currently 2nd in team scoring with 27 points in 41 games played. The 5’11/180 lbs. native of Summerville, SC, has spent the last three years in the Oilers organization, totaling 98 points in his career. Chavarria also played on the 2016 NA3HL East Division Top Prospects team where he had two points in three games.
Sneed, 20, is the top scoring defenseman on the Oilers roster with 21 points in 40 games. Like his teammates Frankel and Chavarria, Sneed (6’1/190) has spent the last three seasons in the Oilers organization. The native of Beavercreek, OH, has 58 points in 121 career junior games.
