Helena defenseman Lubin makes college commitment

The Helena Bighorns, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that defenseman Gavin Lubin has committed to play college hockey at Utah State University, an ACHA Division II program.

 

Lubin, 20, is playing in his second and final season in the NA3HL for the Bighorns. The native of Anchorage, Alaska, has played in 31 games this season and recorded 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) with a +14 rating and 111 penalty minutes.

 

Lubin (6’2/210) was recently selected to and played in the 2016 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Frontier Division team, where he recorded an assist in three games.

 

Last season, Lubin split time in the NA3HL between the Helena Bighorns and Glacier Nationals. In 79 career NA3HL games, Lubin has 39 points.
