La Crosse defenseman Edwards makes NCAA commitment

March 14, 2016
The La Crosse Freeze, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that defenseman Justin Edwards has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Saint Mary’s University of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

Edwards, 20, is playing in his second and final season of junior hockey in the NA3HL for the Freeze. The native of Mosinee, Wisconsin, has recorded 12 points in 37 games played this season from the blueline.

Edwards (6’1/185) played in 30 regular season games for the Freeze during the 2014-15 season and recorded five points, which included four goals. In his NA3HL career, he has played in 67 career regular season games and recorded 17 points.

“We are extremely excited to announce Justin Edwards commitment to Saint Mary's University. Justin is a big reason why this program has had such great success in its first two seasons.  We would like to thank Justin for his loyalty and commitment to our program and we wish him the best of luck in the future,” said La Crosse head coach Ryan Egan.
