Former Jersey Shore goalie Howat makes NCAA DI commitment

The Jersey Shore Wildcats, proud members of the NA3HL (formerly the NA3EHL), are pleased to announce that former goaltender Tyger Howat has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Northern Michigan University in the WCHA.
Howat, 20, just completed his final season of junior hockey, which was spent this season with the Coquitlam Express in the BCHL. Howat (6’3/201) appeared in 25 games this season and had a goals against average of 3.80 and a save percentage of 90.9.
The native of South Lyon, Michigan led the Wildcats to the NA3EHL Championship during the 2014-15 season and posted a 17-1-0 record with 1.95 goals against average and a 94.4% save percentage.
Howat also played in two NAHL games for the Michigan Warriors in 2014-15 and appeared in six games for the Springfield Jr. Blues in 2013-14.
He is the second current or former NA3EHL goaltender in the last week to make a commitment to an NCAA Division I school
